I don’t think there is anyone out there who wouldn’t admit that 2020 hit all of us hard, in one way or another. It was a year that saw a global pandemic, protests, police violence, and so much more. While both of us are beyond glad that the difficult year over, we are also both so grateful for all the good that 2020 has brought with it as well.
First and foremost, we are thankful for all of you. We are grateful that when in the midst of a global pandemic, when two struggling recent MA graduates decided to start this project, you all showed up to support us. You’ve shared our posts, bought our merch, and cheered us on as we tried to figure out what this project is going to be like.
This blog started as a wild idea in the midst of unemployment and uncertainty. It gave us something to be excited about, to put our energy into, and it helped us stay in touch with not only you, but each other! Our usual True Crime Documentary nights were replaced with weekly Girl Boss meetings where we discussed plans for posts, merch, and the future of RR.
We have so many exciting plans to expand Renaissance Reframed in 2021, all so we can better serve all of you. Our goals for 2021 include so many amazing new posts, releasing new merch (keep an eye out something coming soon!), developing a newsletter, and, fingers crossed, a podcast! We can not wait to see what 2021 has in store for us and we hope you are as excited as we are.
Stay tuned for so much more and we wish you all a Happy New Year!
